For the first time in its history, CityWest Community Channel 10 will be broadcasting the Remembrance Day ceremonies from three of the communities it serves.

“We know how important Remembrance Day is to the communities we serve, so we’re proud to be able to share the ceremonies year from Terrace, Kitimat, and Prince Rupert,” said Devin Wall, Community Channel Manager.

CityWest Community Channel 10 will be broadcasting the Terrace ceremony live from the Tillicum Twin Theatres, starting at 10 a.m. this Friday. Along with the parade and the laying of the wreaths, the ceremony will also feature poem readings from Charlie Meek and Steve Little.

“I am honoured to be part of the Remembrance Day service, where we pay tribute to our veterans of yesteryear and of today,” said Meek. “I’d also like to extend a grateful thanks to Bill and Norma Young of Tillicum Twin Theatres, for their ongoing support for this special day.”

Cameras will also be on site at the ceremonies in Prince Rupert and Kitimat. Although those ceremonies won’t be live, CityWest Community Channel 10 will broadcast segments from each ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday night.
